Description

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 23. Financial need may be considered.

Tennessee Scholar

Description

Selection is based upon academic achievement. Creative abilities and involvement in school activities are considered.

Whittle Scholar Award

Description

Selection is based upon academic performance and leadership qualities. Special consideration is given to applicants who demonstrate unusual or exceptional ways to pursue educational and leadership opportunities beyond the classroom setting.

Frederick T. Bonham Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be an entering freshman at the University of Tennessee. Selection based on GPA and ACT/SAT score.

Andrew D. Holt Scholarship

Description

Applicant typically should have a minimum 3.9 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 30. Selection is based upon academic and leadership abilities.

Robert R. Neyland Scholarship

Description

Applicant must rank in top tenth of class and demonstrate leadership potential through church, community, and extracurricular activities. If other qualifications are equal, preference is given to applicants who participate in sports and demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be a Tennessee resident or the child of alumni regardless of the state of residence.

Reeder-Siler Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be a graduate of a high school in Anderson, Blount, or Knox counties, Tenn., have a minimum 3.0 GPA, a minimum composite ACT score of 27 or equivalent SAT I score, and demonstrate leadership through sports, academic organizations, or student activities. Financial need is considered if all other qualifications are equal.

Fred M. Roddy Merit Scholarship

Description

Selection is based upon academic merit and leadership. Applicant typically should have a 4.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 33.

Herbert S. Walters Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be a graduate of an East Tennessee high school, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 940), demonstrate financial need, and show a desire to support education through employment.

Earlene Chandler Aytes Scholarship

Description

Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence and/or financial need.

Alvin G. and Sally M. Beaman Scholarship

Description

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of an employee of Beaman Bottling Company, Inc., or Shelbyville Bottling Company, Inc., or have graduated from a high school in a county served by Beaman Bottling or Shelbyville Bottling as of January 1, 1990. Selection is based upon GPA, test scores, and financial need.

Woodrow M. and Margaret T. Catherman Scholarship

Description

Applicant must reside in Sevier County, Tenn., and demonstrate financial need. Academic performance may be considered.
